Wednesday in Centre d'atencio integral-Sant Francesc de Borja in Gandia

 We started the day from a guided tour in the local Centre d'atencio integral-Sant Francesc de Borja in Gandia. It is a sustainable institution for homeless people who can live there and who are engaged in running the institution by doing farming, feeding animals, selling grown vegetables and flowers, cooking and cleaning. It was  Caritas institution that sets a great example to be followed and which helps people and has  invaluable impact on the environment and the society. 

We enjoyed the afternoon with our Erasmus friends developing our language skills.

Tuesday in Gandia

 On Tuesday we visited neighbouring towns Otos and Carricola, where we learned how  sustainable approach of life is successfully applied by local people. These areas were revitalized and their inhabitants lead very ecological lifestyle. What is interesting in Otos there only 491 inhabitants. During our trips we got to know how  natural water purification plant works,  looked for pieces of art hidden among natural resources of the hills,  admired the view of the landscape from the tower, got to know local people and their habits and try local food. Moreover, all the students and teachers spent the whole day together having great fun.

First day in C.C. Abad Sola

 We met early in the morning at C.C. Abad Sola and started the day with a tour around the school. We could visit various classrooms and meet other students and teachers. We spot the first differences among our schools and become more curious about the activities we were about to participate in. 

 Then all the students participated in ice-breaking activities. There was lot of fun and laughter:).

After the warm-up, each of the partner schools presented the activities conducted in mother schools on the topic of sustainability. Polish students had prepared a presentation which was showed to the whole group. 

Afterwards, we visited the town hall and had a meeting with Mayor of Gandia.  It was a valuable experience. 

Finally we admired the sculptures especially constructed for the festival of Las Fallas. It was a day full of positive emotions and energy with cultural and sport activities,

Meeting our friends in Gandia

 On the 8th of March Polish and Austrian group along with a Danish teacher met in Valencia to set off together to Gandia. Finally after a short ride  all the students met their project Spanish partners and host families. Youth had been looking forward to that day for a long time and everyone was excited. From the first begining they got along with their hosts and enjoyed speaking English and overcoming language barriers. The rest of the day students spent together with their "new" families.

Parents' meeting

In mid-January, an introductory parents' meeting was held with parents of students qualified for the project. A strong group of young and enthusiastic students from our school  counts 24 people. Congratulations to all of them.
