School ecological garden

First school harvest ... Five radishes and almost 20 volunteers - that's quite a challenge. However, let's start from the beginning. A fantastic space for organic garden  is being created at our school. 🪴You just need a box, fleece, soil , seeds and the will to work. 🪴 The younger students together with their teacher are engaged in such a great project. In class 2b there is always  willingness to work.

💪🏻And here our fantastic parents helped us - Mr. Marek made a box for us, and since Igor helped him, the boxes came out two - for boys and for girls. Mrs. Sylwia  provided us with fleece. Mrs. Karolina  took care of the soil for the boxes, and Mrs. Anita provided us with seeds. 👏👏👏👏 We did the rest of the work on our own - from preparing the ground, sowing the seeds, watering them, and today to the first harvest. We love our garden and thank our parents for their help. You are wonderful, because thanks to you we try new challenges.

We look with admiration at other, equally lovely, gardens.

" Exploitation - the hidden ingredient of chocolate", "Can poverty be a tourist attraction?" and "How much water do you have on you?" were just some of the issues discussed during the workshops. Workshops  made young people

discover  how individual decisions change the world which we greatly depend on.

The World Sustainable Development Day is celebrated on the 27th October this year. To celebrate this important day students participating in the Erasmus + project met online. The meeting was an excellent opportunity to welcome new project participants and present the main objectives and goals of the project activities. To have a better understanding of sustainable development, the project coordinators presented a video in which Malala Yousafzai, the youngest person awarded with Nobel Peace Prize , talks about the challenges that humanity face and the importance of all people working together to overcome them.  In the end students were eager to share their opinions.

Wasting food you waste our planet!

A lecture on clever food management taught our students the importance of food products in life. We learnt how not to waste food and discovered that when throwing it  away we get rid of other natural goods.  What is more we were encouraged to save energy. Do you know that we need 90 litres of water to produce one cheese sandwich? Interesting, isn’t it?
