As the issue of natural resources is crucial in sustainability and the location of the salt mine in Klodawa is convenient, we frequently visit that place and learn how important resources are in our life. We learn how it is explored, how it is formed and how it is processed.

Meeting with experts in BGBRG Judenburg
On the last day of the teacher's meeting coordinators took part in classes as a form of job shadowing. The topic of lessons was related to sustainability and it was a good occasion to observe the engagement of students in the topic and share experience with teachers as far as teaching methods are concerned. Then teachers had workshops with experts. The subject of the first workshop was about climate change, while the other was related to reusable energy sources obtained from paper production.
Our teachers came from the meeting with a range of new ideas.
Workshops in Judenburg
Second day in Austrian school started with a visit to a secondary school in Southwestern Styria. In that institution students are educated how to run a wine yard and manage the company. The school is greatly sustainable as it obtains energy from solar panels and has electric car charging point. It does not use fossil fuels to heat the school but instead gains the heat from the local heat station which generates it from wood. Moreover, students run a shop where wine and dried fruit are sold. Glass bottles can be filled many times instead of buying new ones.
Moreover, teachers visited ecological pumpkin seed oil farm. Oil is obtained in sustainable way and waste generated in the production line is left on the field for animals or to fertilize the soil.
